Our St. Georges’s Day celebration is back and this time it falls on the 23rd April 2024. To mark the occasion we’re supporting the SSAFA in this, the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing. We are excited to have a special guest coming as our after dinner speaker… Mark Smith!
The event is hosted by the Essex Quadrant Rose Croix Chapter and is preceded by a short Chapter meeting for Rose Croix masons where we will welcome receipt of the Travelling Rose from Courtenay Chapter. We’ll then have a brief reception to welcome non-Rose Croix masons, family and friends before sitting to a three course meal of: Tomato Soup, Roast Beef and Trifle to follow. The meal includes wine and Tea/Coffee to conclude. Further details can be found on the flyer below.
Mark Smith is the BBC Antiques Roadshow’s militaria expert, although you may also know him as the Worshipful Assistant Provincial Grand Master in the Province of Essex. He is well known among masons around the county for his fascinating lectures on military history. We know that he has something special planned for us on the 23rd April and we would love to share the evening with you. But time is running out and spaces are booking fast!
To book in, please email recorder@rosecroix501.org.uk . Bookings must be completed and paid for by no later than 19th April 2024.
